Writing

This week we have been learning about adjectives - by Isabelle
An adjective is a describing word - by Bella
We use adjectives to give the reader a clear picture in their head - by Toby
We played memory match with pictures and sentences that we had written - by Liam
We had to read a sentence and try to match it to the correct picture - by Carter
If we had written enough adjectives the readers could guess the correct picture - by Campbell

Shakeout Earthquake Awareness Practise

Today we had a practise with what to do in an earthquake! 

In an earthquake DROP, COVER, HOLD! By Campbell

We have to make sure our backs are to the windows. By Esther

We need to hold on to the table legs with one hand and put the other hand over our head. By Zara

Find a safe place to hide under quickly. By Brody

We need to get to a table as fast as we can without running or screaming. By Isaac

We need to stay in place until the teacher or an adult we trust tells us it is safe to move. By Thomas

We could hide under a chair as well. By Isabelle

When there is no furniture just DROP, COVER and HOLD wherever you are. By Charlie

We feel good that we know what to do in an earthquake. By Cash
